Shine in '99 at Saskatchewan Express Auditions

Saskatchewan Express invites you to shine in '99! Hitch your dreams to a star and audition for the Saskatchewan Express 1999 Summer Tour. Saskatchewan's musical ambassadors celebrate 18 years of showcasing some of the province's finest young talent from coast to coast in Canada.

Auditions for the 1999 Summer Tour will be held in Regina on February 25, 26, 27 and 28. Singers and dancers can contact Saskatchewan Express at 787-9807 to arrange an audition time. Application deadline is February 15. Saskatchewan performers studying or working outside the province can forward a video tape and a resume to Saskatchewan Express, 3304 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan, S4P 3V7 by February 15.

 Saskatchewan Express has had a major influence on the careers of many young performers and is delighted to announce that a second Express member has hit the bright lights of Broadway. Dean Balkwill of Regina performed the lead role of Roger in the Broadway production of "Rent" this past fall. Jody Ripplinger of Lumsden began the tradition when she appeared in the Broadway production of "Dream".

Other cast members currently performing on cruise lines and theme parks around the world include Darren and Lara Lynn Lacey and Paula MacNeill of Regina, Chip McDaniel of Saskatoon, Duff McDonald of Watson, and Randy Oltean of Cupar.

Saskatchewan Express performers have appeared in Canadian and touring productions of some of the most popular productions of today including "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat", "Les Miserables" and "The Who's Tommy" while many others enjoy successful careers in film and television.

Saskatchewan Express has travelled across Canada and North America and counts performances at the Calgary Stampede, in Ottawa during Canada Day, Festival by the Sea in St. John, New Brunswick, and Americaflora in Columbus, Ohio among the highlights of its performance history.
