Fall Workshop 2007

You are invited to attend Fall Workshop 2007, hosted by

the Saskatchewan Chapter of Carl Orff Canada: Music for Children Association.

This year's
event will take place on Saturday, September 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
at Dr. John G. Egnatoff School, 225 Kenderdine Road,

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The theme of Fall Workshop 2007 is

ARTS INTEGRATION through the ORFF
PROCESS
.

Our featured presenter is Debra Giebelhaus-Maloney, National
President of Music for Children: Carl Orff Canada. Come prepared to SING
MOVE and PLAY as we explore Arts Integration for K - 6 using the ORFF
process. Experience a variety of literature forms with a multi-cultural
flavor. We will use rhythm, beat, and melody to improvise and weave ostinati
into our storytelling and song. Join us for child-proven, hands-on
experiences that you can take back into your classroom or music room for
further development.

Debra Giebelhaus-Maloney specializes in helping teachers of all
backgrounds - especially those with limited musical expertise - realize the
goals of music and arts education curricula in their classrooms. As such,
materials presented in this workshop will appeal to elementary classroom
generalists, as well as to music and arts education specialists. Come
discover the many ways that reading and literature study with children can
be infused with the joy of making music together!

See attached registration form and promotional poster for workshop fees and
additional details. In the event that you are unable to open the attachment,
